The American Dream

Yesterday was Independence day, and about an hour and a half before the fireworks were scheduled to go off on the 6 train where you could feel a shared energy among a crowd that was so culturally and ethically diverse, we found a young lady reading "The Alchemist," an award-winning book written by Paulo Coelho that inspires people to follow their dreams...who better to interview than someone reading a book about our favorite topic? =)

Her dream was "to be happy, to have a family, a home....the American dream."

We thought the interview didn't have bad timing!

After we told her OUR dream of inspiring people around the world to follow their dreams, the lady admitted that her dream was pretty selfish...

We told her we disagreed...how can you help other people when you're not happy or following your own dream?

She worked in sales for a construction staffing company. We found her to be extremely down-to-earth and friendly, and we wish her good luck!

...How many people in New York have the American Dream? Dude, we can dedicate a SEPARATE blog to this!!!

Happy Independence Day America!
